Educational Qualification: 1. An eminent scholar actively engaged in teaching/research/extension with published work
with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in indexed
/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books and having Ph.D.
degree in Dairy Technology with OCPA of 6.50 out of 10.00 or 65% marks.
2. Ten years experience in teaching/research/extension education in the Dairy Technology
out of which, at least two years should be as Associate Professor or equivalent in the
pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.9000/- and remaining as Assistant
Professor/equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree will not be counted as
a research experience).
3. Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the
same within one year of appointment).

degree in Animal Breeding/Animal Genetics/Animal Breeding and Genetics with OCPA

2. Ten years experience in teaching/research/extension education in Animal Breeding and
Genetics out of which, at least two years should be as Associate Professor or
equivalent in the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000+AGP Rs.9000/- and remaining as
Assistant Professor/equivalent. (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree will not be
counted as a research experience).
3. Matric level certificate of Punjabi language. (If not, the candidate is required to pass the
same within one year of appointment).

3. Substantial contributions to research as evidenced by the quality of papers published

results of research, innovations in teaching/ extension education.

Educational Qualification: 1 Ph.D. degree in field of Agriculture/Horticulture/Veterinary Science/Animal
Sciences/Fisheries/ Agricultural Engineering/ Home Science/ Agroforestry with minimum
OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
2 Eight years experience in teaching/research/extension education in the relevant area
at the level of Asstt. Professor or equivalent (The period spent in obtaining Ph.D.
degree will not be counted as research experience).
3 Substantial contributions to research as evidenced by quality of papers published
with a minimum of 5 publications as books and/or research/policy papers in
indexed/ISBN/ISSN numbered journals and as ISBN/ISSN numbered books and/or
adoption of results of research, innovations in teaching/extension education.

Educational Qualification: 1. B.V.Sc./B.V.Sc.& A.H. at least with second division.
2. Master’s degree in Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Extension/Veterinary and Animal
Husbandry Extension Education/Livestock Production & Management/ Animal
Breeding/Animal Breeding & Genetics/Animal Nutrition /Animal Reproduction/ Veterinary
Gynaecology and Obst./Veterinary Medicine/Epidemiology and Preventive Veterinary
Medicine/Clinical Veterinary Medicine with minimum OCPA of 6.50/10.00 or 65% marks.
3. Must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or
elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language which may be
specified by GADVASU from time to time.
4. Candidates having Master’s level degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one
publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal
for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in
which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waved off for the candidates
holding Ph.D. Degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the
UGC Regulations 2009 and the candidate has at least two full length publications having
a NAAS rating not less than 4 on the last date of submission of application. Those
candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not qualify for exemption.

4. Candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall be compulsory along with one
publication in NAAS (National Academy of Agricultural Sciences) rated refereed journal
