Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL)  is a big company working in all over the world. HPCL has also listed in the 500 top companies for the year 2011-12. The company has various branches all over the world. Now HPCL has advertised for the recruitment of 250 Graduate Engineers through Gate -2013 in the discipline of civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, instrumentation and telecommunication. The qualification will be degree in the relevant discipline. Candidates who are qualified as the eligibility stipulated by HPCL can apply off-line and download the application form through the website of GATE i.e. http://www.gate.iitb.ac.in.  The detail procedure to apply for the post is given under the heading of application procedure.

Opening date of online application for GATE-2013 is 1st Sept, 2012.Last date of Online application for Gate – 2013 is 30th Sept, 2012.Opening date of online registration of application is 24th Dec, 2012.Last date of online registration of application is 14th Feb, 2013.Date of GATE-2013 online Examination is 20th Jan, 2013.Date of GATE-2013 offline Examination is 10th Feb, 2013.

Qualification, Age Limitation and Experience

Candidates should have passed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Electronics & Telecommunication/ Instrumentation. Age of candidates will be 18 to 25 years as on 30th June 2013. Relaxation for reserved category will be applicable.

Mode of Selection for HPCL Recruitment 2012 

For selection candidates will go thorough in various steps. First Step is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering -2013. Candidates who get highest marks in this will be eligible for further step. Next step is Group Discussion/ Group Task. In this, selection committee will provide to candidates one common topic for discussion and candidates who impressed to selection committee will face the last step that is interview. Only those candidates who have valid score in GATE-2013 will be eligible.

Mode of Submitting Application Form

Candidates can apply for this test after submit GATE application form through www.gate.iitb.ac.in. After that, candidates will receive admit card with registration number.  Now go to www.hindustanpetroleum.com and click on ‘Career’ link. After that, fill the application with GATE-2013 registration number/personal detail and submit it. After submission candidates will get Application Id. If candidates called for GT/GD/Interview, they should come with Application Id/GATE-2013 admit card/Original documents.

Minimum Age Limit/Experience and Qualification HPCL Recruitment

Candidates should have passed professional qualification of chartered accountant (CA) from ICAI and should have crossed the minimum of eighteen years but not more than twenty seven years as on 8th Nov, 2012 for general category. Relaxation rules for reserved community are also applicable, see advertisement for more details. Physical fitness of candidates according Hindustan Petroleum’s medical standard is also one of the eligibility conditions.

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the base of marks obtained in professional qualification of chartered accountants. After that qualified candidates are liable to attend the interview in which assessment of behavioral competencies will be mattered. At the time of interview, one photo identity proof with original certificate of qualification will be required.

Mode of Submitting Application Form

Interested candidates can apply online with the help of HPCL website www.hindustanpetroleum.com under the head of career. Fill the application with required relevant details and submit it. After online registration, candidates will receive unique reference and application numbers of twelve digits. Take a print out of this for future use. At the time of submission online application one scanned passport size photograph in the .jpg format and valid email id will be required.
