Job Designation: Director (Planning & Projects)

Pay Scale: Rs.75,000-1,00,000

Educational Qualification: The candidate should be an engineering graduate or equivalent with good academic record from a recognised university/institution. He should have adequate experience at senior level in management and in project planning and execution in a large organization of repute. Experience in Power/Mining Sector is desirable.

Job Duties: Director (Planning & Projects) is a member of Board of Directors and reports to the Chairman and Managing Director. He is responsible for Planning including Manpower, Equipment and Systems, programming and scheduling and implementation of mining and power projects as well as expansion schemes, exploration projects, project monitoring and coordination. He also functions as Head of the Internal Safety Organisation, environment, pollution control and R&D programmes. He is Head of NLC’s consultancy wing (domestic/foreign) and incharge of NLC’s joint venture with the private sector or other PSUs/State Govt. organization. He is also responsible for preparation of Annual Plan, Five year Plan and Working Group proposals.
